Welcome to the Atlanta Buick Specialties website. A.B.S. has been on the internet since 1997 serving the Buick community with a helping hand on information in the restoration of Buick Muscle Cars, the “Gran Sport”.
The information found in the sections of this site is info I personally used and/or collected during my 28 years working in Buick dealerships. And now, hopefully, it will help you in the restoration of your Buick.
The idea of a site sharing this Buick information came about in the early 90s with more and more Buick customers contacting me ( via other dealership personnel, B.M.D. Atlanta Zone, the B.C.A. and local cruise nights around town ) about O.E.M. parts and anything that would help identify a “found” car. The result was an idea involving the worldwideweb in relating to a larger group of Buick restoration fans. With this creation,
Atlanta Buick Specialties has been mentioned in magazines, major automotive websites and countless personal websites and bulletin boards around the world. I thank you.
The year 2002-2003 was not a pleasant time for A.B.S. with the loss of a partner and an un-warranted redirection of our GM restoration license. As a result a rebuild of the website was started. The new AtlantaBuick.com appeared in June of 2006 with over 460,000 hits world wide for the year. Again, I thank you.
The Buick Gran Sport mystic is starting to emerge from the shadows of the “Muscle Car Era” with a new generation of fans. With the new, along with the older musclecar enthusiast the knowledge about these cars is greater than ever and with this excitement, we as Gran Sport owners hope to never hear the question again, “What’s a GS”?
Thanks for the visit and enjoy the AtlantaBuick.com website.
